Capabilities

Launching June 1st, 2023

Virtual - Zoom, Email

(Please see the Contacts page for questions)

Face-to-Face - limited to the local area in and around Lee County, NC. (Will meet in a public setting in an agreed-upon place if time and location allow. This will be done on a case-by-case basis.)

Online - LinkedIn, Facebook, and Email

What does the Process look like?

Step One -

Once you decide to confer with Veterans Path Forward NC, my business partner or I will walk you through the intake process. You will get an email before that happens with the needed information that will help us prepare for the zoom meeting and design a basic strategy for achieving your desired benefits or results.

Step Two -

Step Two will consist of a follow-up email with a tailored and specific plan that helps each Veteran understand their benefits as well as any unanswered questions that may have required more research. This step could consist of several emails, as long as the endpoint is the Veteran feeling satisfied with their tailored plan.

Step Three -

Step Three is a lifelong commitment from VPFNC and the Veteran if they so choose. This will consist of follow-ups on our Social Media, Website, and even in the local community if you see one of us out and about. We love feedback and it would mean the world to know that a Veteran we helped is continuing to do well.

Hours of Operation

Due to a limited number of staff, please refer to the schedule listed below:

Email and Social Media will be answered within 24 hours Tuesday-Friday

Telephonic - As of right now we are strictly using email, Zoom, and LinkedIn to communicate with our clients. Due to limited staff, VPFNC does not have the workforce available to take and answer phone calls. Any phone communication will be on a case-by-case basis. As VPFNC grows we will look to expand our operations to include communication via telephone.

What do we get out of it? What is our Goal?

Since retiring, I've been searching for a way to make a positive impact on the Veteran community. It's disheartening to see Veterans missing out on earned benefits and being taken advantage of because of a lack of education and resources. As the founder of Veterans Path Forward NC, I rely on VA disability and Combat-Related Servicemembers Compensation, as well as my wife's income, to make ends meet as a stay-at-home dad, college student, and visionary. With my flexible schedule, personal experiences, and network, I felt compelled to create something useful and meaningful with my time. My business partner and I are self-funded and pay all operating costs out of our own pockets. We will never charge a Veteran for our services, but we will launch a donation campaign as we grow to cover expansion and operating costs. Neither my co-founder nor I had much help when navigating our own transitions from the military and the VA process. We want to close the knowledge gap so that Veterans don't have to feel overwhelmed or alone during this process or rely on predatory companies to successfully get hard-earned benefits.

Do I need to disclose personal information or hand over personal documentation?

Our main objective is to assist Veterans in understanding their benefits without requiring any paperwork or documentation. We highly recommend utilizing free services such as Veterans Service Officers, DAV, VFW, and similar organizations to file for your benefits. However, if you choose to opt for paid services, we aim to equip you with enough knowledge to avoid being taken advantage of by unscrupulous companies.

It is essential to note that we are not HIPPA-certified or VA-accredited, but we operate within legal and ethical frameworks. Our primary goal is to educate veterans on their eligibility and guide them on the path to achieving their goals. Our company name, "Path Forward," reflects our commitment to helping veterans carve their own paths toward a brighter future.

Do we guarantee results?

We cannot guarantee that Veterans will receive compensation or qualify for desired benefits. Our service is free of charge and we do not expect any payment from Veterans. The success of benefit applications depends on each Veteran's individual situation, and our goal is to provide them with an advantage. However, we cannot be held responsible for decisions made beyond our control.
